The Norwegian Paddy Punk powerhouse Greenland Whalefishers is releasing one of the best damn live recordings that I’ve ever come across with ‘Live At Farmer Phil’s Festival’ on April 30th that has amazing sound that makes you feel like you are at the show along with the crowd singing along. ‘Live At Farmer Phil’s Festival’ is full of some of my favorite Greenland Whalefishers songs with “Hit The Ground”, “I Am Roving”, “July Morning”, “Loboville”, “The Wild Rover”, and more to make a total of 11 kick ass Paddy Punk songs which you heard on Paddy Rock Radio over the years. Greenland Whalefishers are noticeably influenced by the Pogues, however they picked up where the Pogues left off and are consistently setting the standard for Paddy Punk with every release.

I am proud to say that Greenland Whalefishers are one of the very few Celtic Punk bands that I listen to almost everyday for the past 11+ years of doing Paddy Rock. ‘Live At Farmer Phil’s Festival’ is one of the best produced Live Celtic Punk albums of all time, and will be a welcome part of your collection if you are lucky enough to get the LIMITED EDITION LP on blue vinyl with download card, or even download the album as MP3.
